FCSS Counselling Program

Offers general counselling services in a supportive and friendly environment, in which coping strategies and problem-solving can be discussed.  

This program offers assistance for individuals, families, couples and youth with:

• difficult life and family situations

• parent and child/teen relationships

• new parents

• step-parenting

• couple concerns

• divorce or separation

• coping with loss (family, death, job)

• family violence

• self-esteem

• improving coping/problem solving skills

• consultation, information and referrals

Confidentiality is assured.  All FCSS staff take an Oath of Confidentiality.  Information is not given to or shared with anyone without the informed and voluntary consent of the individual.  There are legal and professional obligations to report to the appropriate authorities only in cases where individuals are at risk to themselves or others.

Fees for Counselling for all clients who live within the MD of Provost are as follows:

• $30.00 for each individual

• $45.00 for each couple or family

Fees for Counselling for all clients who live outside the MD of Provost are as follows:

• $50 for each individual

• $75.00 for each couple or family

No Show fees of $30.00 will be charged to all clients who fail to show for their appointment, and must be paid prior to their next appointment.

Community workshops and presentations can be arranged.  For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 780-753-2542.  Collect calls will be accepted.
