Provost & District Adult Learning 2010 Personal Development & Special Interest Courses
Book Club: If you love reading, want a chance to meet new people and share your thoughts on the chosen book of the month, then this book club is for you. The first meeting will be a ‘meet and greet’ to discuss what book we want to read; and also set up dates and times for future meetings. Join us for snacks, laughter and an overall good time! Open Drawing Course: Join instructor and local artist Iva Jean Wagner as she provides guidance, coaching and mentorship to you in a series of four, two-hour intermediate open drawing sessions. Bring an existing drawing to work on or start something new! Own drawing paper and supplies required. Belly Dance Workshop (Beginners): Instructor Diane Boudreau from Irma presents this intense but gentle, low-impact weekend Beginners Belly Dance workshop. Connect with your “Inner Goddess” by learning basic moves and treating yourself to a head-to-toe workout. Guaranteed to be lots of fun! Basics of Dance Workshop: Instructor Diane Boudreau from Imra’a Dance in Irma teaches a variety of dance, including standard Ballroom dances such as the Cha Cha, Marenge, Salsa and Waltz. New this fall are plans to add the “Two-Step” to her repertoire. Plan to dust off your dancing shoes and bring your dancing partner! Workshop needs a minimum of 5 to run. Location to be confirmed, tentatively scheduled for the CLC room in the Provincial Building.
