2012 Personal Development & Special Interest Courses

 

 

Book Club:  If you love reading, want a chance to meet new people and share your thoughts on the chosen book of the month, then this book club is for you.  The first meeting will be a ‘meet and greet’ to discuss what book we want to read; and also set up dates and times for future meetings.  Join us for snacks, laughter and an overall good time!
Dates:  Mon Jan 30, Feb 27, Mar 26, Apr 30, May 28, Jun 25          Time:  8:00 — 10:00 pm          Fee:  $10.00 to Join

Location:  Various (whoever is hosting chooses the location).

 

Budgeting / Building Credit:  Join the team from Servus Credit Union to learn how to budget your money wisely through a step by step process.  You will also learn about good vs bad credit and how to recover your credit score.

Hand Building for Kids:   Children will learn about basic properties and how to handle clay as well as exploring decorative techniques and construction methods.

Basics of Dance:  Learn the basic steps and some of the fancy footwork of country two-step dancing.  This two session workshop will give your next outing the “wow” factor you want.

Rent vs Mortgage / Retirement Planning:  The team from Servus will lead you through the pros and cons of renting vs buying a home, then talk about planning for your future needs and funding your retirement.

Introduction to Digital Photography:  Do you have trouble navigating around your camera? Join this course and learn about camera basics, uploading pictures to your computer, saving files, so you can find them easily. Course will also cover areas like: apertures and shutter speeds, composition of taking a great photo, digital editing with photoshop and much more.
